Welcome to your classroom in the Net.
The purpose of this website is to make all lecture materials taught by
the instructor available to students. The compilation of the materials
in this website is arranged by subjects and topics. The content of this
website should not be used as a substitute for classroom attendance. No
matter how much hype e-learning has received in the academia, the
face-to-face interaction between instructors and students remains an
indispensable part of learning.
There has been a movement
towards pedagogic experimentation; some groups of academics advocate
Problem-Based Learning (PBL), some call for Case-Based Learning (CBL),
and others still cling to the conventional "I speak - you listen" lecture
style. Whatever the agenda of these advocates may be, professional
ethics requires that all instructors serve the best interests of
students. The ultimate purpose of any learning method must cover the
following value chain of education: Input + Process + Output +
Impact. Any one of these elements missing, the quality of education
goes out the window.
The courses listed in
this website are those that I have taught I am now teaching. Some
lecture materials are summaries of textbook delivered as class lecture.
Some lecture materials are retrieved from the Internet. Proper cite to
source is provided when possible. All omissions are inadvertent. Feel
free to download, copy and distribute any thing on this website.
